I have seen some of the lovley gun cases panatopes has made

I want one made for my Masada, with space for 6 mags, and the CQB front end, and silencer,

Wondering the best way about this

Just buy the foam and cut out the space you need. And of course by the empty case :P

Buy some foam sheets and use a sharp knife to cut the shapes out.

Alternatively, get the case, line it (shallow) top and bottom with foam sheets then get some 'pick-foam'. Hey-presto! A case which will make you the envy of all who see it.

ah yes, pick foam would actually be the easier option lol.

I bought a set of pick foam from somewhere a while ago. It came with a few layers of plain foam for tops/bottoms, as well as the pick layers.
Wish I could remember where now...

Pick and pluck looks shite after a while. Get http://www.efoam.co.uk/Spackaging.php Cheap as chips, too!

You know what else works well.... A laser cutter. Mark out the outline of the gun in your favorite CAD program, then laser it onto several foam sheets of suitable thickness. Chuck the layers together in a case. Custom and yet professional.

Now all you need is a laser cutter :D.
