Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
a 9.6v would probably eat through a dboys (i personally dont rate the gearboxes in them
i would play it safe mate, depending on how much and and long you want it to last

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
I say look at it this way,
8.4V: Will give less ROF but will put less pressure on the gears and internals.
9.6V: Higher ROF but more pressure on the gears and internals.
It's up to you, do you want it to last longer or fire faster.

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
I'd agree with what FireKnife said. DBoys guns are complete and utter trash so I'd recommend the 8.4v battery unless you want your gun to fall apart even faster than it will do.

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
I always run my AEG's on 8.4v as i don't see the need for higher ROF.
On a 8.4v my P90 pushed out close to 15rps (900rpm) and that was fine for me.

Go for the 9.6v (check it will fit first!). Enjoy it. If it blows up. Replace the gearbox. If not happy days!

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
well i wouldnt see the point in going the extra money because in a game Tbh all it does is fire faster and u dont actually need that do u? 8.v is fine if i were i wouldnt risk plus 8.4 is cheaper and hardly makes a difference if u ask me

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
Just get a decent Mah on an 8.4v, peace of mind at the 8.4 and the higher the Mah, the slight increase in ROF. It's like the bucket with a hole comparison that is often associated with batterys.
The Voltage is the hole and the Mah is the Water,
The bigger the whole the faster the water comes out, but also the more water in the bucket the faster the water comes out.
Or something like that.

Re: 9.6v or 8.4v
might be difficult to get a really high mah nunchuck battery so in this case a 9.6 may be a better option/cheaper option.
I had a 8.4 4300mah tornado battery and the increase in rof from a lower capacity battery is very pronounced indeed
