Re: l85 makes
New players/ Advice section would probably suit this question best.
Star/ Ares or ICS

Re: l85 makes
ARES for me by a mile but others say ICS for ease of stripping. I have seen the ICS version. My eyes... they burn.
Not seen the G&G but it has good reviews so I hear.

It depends what exactly your looking for out of them realy.
As pan will tell you im sure
the ICS isnt the most acurate replica but is a piece of pi$$ to work on.

Re: l85 makes
Both ARES and ICS are good for range.
Not heard a bad thing about either, performance-wise.

Re: l85 makes
Yeah go Star/ Ares (metal gearboxed model).
Range = Hop rubber and nub combo.

Yes mate.
Just take a look at this video. Forget it being an LSW, in essence they're the same.

Yup. Contact the vendor about the gearbox first though. A few did apparently slip through with polycarbonate gearboxes (not that they were bad) but they've likely all sold now so you should be good.
And now, some gun porn...
