SiG SAUER P228

Is there such a thing as an all-metal SIG P228? Not the one that's marked 'Polizi' or whatever.

Is there an after market metal slide kit for it?

I need another 'those were the days' nostalgia pistol.

The only P228 I can think of is the Tanaka, and that's plastic but with a steel like finish.

The only ones I can think of is the KJW and the Tanaka (non-railed old-school). The Tanaka's are very nice. The KJ is metal, but the Tanaka is very well made.

I've got the SigArms factory licenced KJW P229R and it's a very nice piece of kit, but rare as rocking horse doo-doo.

The way I look at it is, as Sig themselves use the KJW in their training academy for force-on-force training, then if it's good enough for Sig it's good enough for me!

there are kj traded ones available from hk sellers which are railed and engraved.mine works fine but isnt traded.

Must of been a steel version at that price. Just got a caspian kit...watch this space :D

Maybe a 226 would be an easier option pgc kit for $200 plus a second hand base gun.

The manufacturers of airsoft P228's are Tanaka and UHC.

The Tanaka is a GBB and comes in several versions (all plastic):

ABS

Chrome finish ABS

Steel finish ABS

Heavyweight

Heavyweight Swiss Police


Mosquito Molds used to make a metal slide (not frame) for the Tanaka P228.

KHC makes a NBB in ABS and also a springer version


Marui makes a P228 in a springer version


Prime makes kits to convert a TM P226 into a P228 or a P229. They are brass and come finished or unfinished






There are other springers made, these are just the main ones.
