i have a DPM jacket that has been converted into a ghillie

basically has netting sown and glued around the jacket, then burlap and other threads knotted around and glued - very strong and very effective

the jacket can just be unzipped and discarded quickly

To me it looks like a Webtex concealment vest with bigger holes made to attach the burlap. You cant really tell from that pic.

Looks like one of those expensive Sniper Smocks from a site that shares its name with a certain german camo. Or its a custom job like everyones saying.

Regardless, the kid behind the instructor needs to mold his beret :p.

im sticking with the home made theory. -

would be easy enough to get a large od shirt from a military surplus place - cut the arms off and attach stuff to it.
and he wouldnt have to bugger up his smock! :D

just been told its an arktis he has permanently attached to his sniper smock and then cut holes in the vest to create a sort of sandwich

Hmm I would have said he's sewn elastic loops onto the smock and put the rags through as Owain says... fair enough then!

Not to mention get his hands out of his pockets. Whenever I was caught with my hands in my pockets it was a rap across the knuckles and the threat of having my pockets sewn up! Kids today
