Re: 80s US Special Forces Rifle Scopes
you want the official colt carry handle sight, it's like a tube that sits in the carry handle used from Vietnam till the end of desert storm by some units
trading WE M16A1 for CYMA or RS SVD with PSOP

M733/655/654s with aimpoint acupoints looks like a colt scope but a red dot, starlights and early trijicon sights

Re: 80s US Special Forces Rifle Scopes
As above really. Scope's on individual weapons wasn't really ever in the US Doctrine until quite recently. But the Colt AR Scope (can get a decent airsoft replica) or one of the very first aim points (rare as hens teeth stuck in rocking horse poop) are kosher.
But they were widely used so standard Iron's are probably the most accurate.

Re: 80s US Special Forces Rifle Scopes
the sight in the son tay photos was a single point reflex sight, exactly the same as those sold in the uk in the 80,s by sussex armoury and origionally made in canada ,i have one.
the early ones had a conical transparent front cover the later domed i have the later version.

Re: 80s US Special Forces Rifle Scopes
thats the one, have had one of these since the 80,s.
the only strange thing is they dont work at night as they use a fibre optic light source generated by natural daylight
