Re: head cams
A RIS cam would be pointed at the ground about 90% of the time though?

Re: head cams
i shall be getting one of these soon - Nitro vo ris cam
takes SD cards and said to be one of the worlds smallest portable DVR - can also be helmet mounted, 320x240 res (not high but phone quality), shame about them battery life of 1.5 hours though but it only weights 15 gram
and JAG just edit the footage before uploading it
sorry for spray paint just blocking out shop trademarks

Re: head cams
Maybe people shoot differently than me then, lol.
I tend to have the gun at around 45 degrees, raising it only to shoot, then back down again.

Re: head cams
awsome alex! are you gonna mount on helmet or gun? would look mint on the SCAR and minimi if you went top cover in paddy snatch! with his minimi!. im same as you jag, have my gun down then up to shoot, unless moving rounds corners or know of posible enemy.

Re: head cams
Some ris cam action.

:P
Also just a good laugh. I'd quite like to see a fire fight filmed that way. At least then it's mostly watching something interesting. Not just the ground.

I strapped a camera to my gun once.
Worked quite well.

Re: head cams
Gun cam would probably work best in CQB, as you'll always be aiming at a corner/door etc. Rather than woodland, where you tend to have the gun at "rest" most of the time.

Good point...
After uploading the files, most of the footage was of my boots...

Re: head cams
Anyone ever been scared of having their GUNCAM's shot out? Especially if they're a plastic jobbie?
I was looking at getting one, but would probably get into the action before actually switching the thing on! (And yes, I've known it to happen, mind you we are from Liverpool, hehe!)
