416, then drop in the open bolt kit when it comes out ( soon ) though the scar open bolt kit is already out. i had alot of issues with the hinge plate on mine. Whether its fixed in the open bolt i dont know but i doubt it..

i have both and asthetically i would say the 416. mine has trades and just looks better imo. performance wise both need upgrading to shoot o.k, either with the open bolt kit when released, the stinger hop kit or even the falcon kit which i have on order.

SCAR looks too awesome, if you replace the stock hinge pate with a metal one (a guy on here will make them) then that issue is fixed, I plan on getting the steel open bolt for my scar when it is released, sooo much recoil it is too fun!

ps, how good are the RA-tech hopup units?

Out of interest, the latest release of WE Scars have the upgraded hinge plate which seems to have cured the breakage problem.

I prefer the sexy look of the scar, but understand some people think it's a bit too unconventional looking (plus the real steel versions aren't used as much as the 416).

I've read conflicting reports on the RA Tech hop unit, some seem to say it works really well, others say it's not a lot better.

Have to say scar.
Considered the 416 myself but the fact the scar already has the open bolt installed and that every man and his wife wants a looky likey 416 swung it for me.
And the gent making the alloy hinge plates will get a nice PM from me in the near future.

I have the WE SCAR and we have a love-hate relationship. It is a beautiful weapon, pretty light, and the breakdown feature is very shibby. Once I fitted the NPAS kit though, I had nothing but trouble. Granted this could have been my fault, but it vented gas, fired too powerfully, shattered bbs and generally wouldn't cooperate. My engineer bud has the open bolt kit and it is a magnificent piece of weaponry, so I would simply advise getting someone who knows what they're doing to upgrade it for you.

Now I want the HK416 too
