to see in the dark
1 April, 2011, 12:27
okay i used to want i night vision scope but at roughly £1000 it was way off limits for me (i am a student).
i do a fair view tunnel fighting games at epsom tunnels as it is my main site, and recently we have been doing more and more games in the pitch black, you use a torch, gives away your position, i would like a chance of having the upper hand, as some on now has a NV scope.
in the past went to a night game and saw sombody with a infer-red camera attatched to their m4 varient and it had a little tv no bigger than a flip out one of a cam corder, the range on it was good for 100 meters and he was shooting and hitting everytime!
does anyone know a way of doing this in a sort of budget or not to expensive,
if any one has any ideas or any put please let me know,
thank you in advance

Or pop to a well known cheap food and household goods retailer from over the sea's, £69.99 for a night vision monocular. Works really well as well
Has a camera stand attachment point on bottom as well

Due to the rules of zeroin stating you cant mention retailers that are in direct competition with zeroin. But a cheap food and household goods store is not in direct competition if at all. So mention this store so I can check it out please.

Good point. Was in aldi's.yet to make a mount for it but it's something like 3x32 and has infa red torch built in for in pitch black. In normal gloomy English night time you can pretty clearly see a person at over 100ft away.

Managed to source an old military multi stage gen one image intensifier, the results being equivalent to a gen 2 system.
Find a housing and a method to mount it.
Spend days swearing and burning yourself with glue trying to find the perfect vocal point with your lense (Which I had going spare)
Then add an eye piece.
And then spray black.
Only issue is sourcing the tube, I was lucky as I found one on ebay.
The rest is just research and aloota work
