Hi,

I recently bought a we hi capa 5.1 and it doesn't look right. The slide looks too long. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Looks like you've got a 5.1 slide on a 4.3 frame, with a 4.3 barrel.

What's with the blue in the ejection port?

Hmm i thought that might have been the case. Hopefully the seller will will realise he has made a mistake and refund me.

The blue is a just trick of the light its deffiantly silver.

If that is WE, then that doesn't look like a standard slide either, what, if any markings does it have?

This is a pic of the whole gun. It doesn't fire properly or lock back on last round either.

Thats a WE High capa, but it has the wrong inner barrel, probably off a 4.3 or 3.8

The rest of the gun is all correct.

Have you got a pic directly head on, as i cant see any evidence of a recoil rod assembly in there

I think it has a recoil rod assembly in as you need one to put the slide back on correctly.

But, the reason why it may not be firing properly might be that the recoil rod isn't pushing the slide all the way back because Its longer than the frame. Please correct me If Iam wrong.

yep, now that does make me think its a 5.1 slide on a 4.3 everything else, which would also be why its not firing/cycling correctly.

Its not 4.3 everything else, everything on the outside is 5.1, its called the 5.1k

From the looks of the recoil rod, you have WE 1911 internals, because the hi cappas had a different shape block a the front.

Im pretty sure the recoil assembly is at least meant to meet the end of the slide..that doesnt look right.

Definately a 4.3 barrel in a 5.1 slide.

The recoil spring lengths are different If I recall as well, so that will probably cause the firing problems.

On top of that its a full metal WE!
