What colour to paint my Desert Warrior.

Hey guys and girls.
Ive recently aquired a WE Desert Warrior from the forums and Ive started to upgrade the interanls and want to improve the external features of the gun.
Ive stripped it down to its bare components for the upgrades so whilst ive got it like this Ive started to sand it down to bare metal as I was just gonna paint it black.
But now Im thinking it looks quite pimp in its current silver/ bare metal state.
So do I...
Keep it silver?
Spray the whole thing black?
Or do a silver/black two tone combo?

paint the top of the slide black but keep the sides silver then paint the frame black and keep the trigger, hammer and safety/slide lock silver, done.

I concur. Ben is both correct and right simultaneously.

At the moment, the sanded look gives the impression that this gun has survived the apocalypse and now serves as your only protection from hoards of radioactive zombies. Dirty it up some more, do something extra special with the grips, and make yourself a cool 'Book of Eli' type loudout to go with it. Bring on the badassery.

I was gonna say leave it; but that option has obviously left the building after seeing the photos. However, go for the dirtied up, polished look as someone else mentioned earlier for a book of eli; post apocalyse look!

Loving the 'Book of Eli' ideas, but Im gonna have to do that with my next project, Im thinking an old school 1911.
This is how she looks today after a final sand and the application of a base primer.
After shes fully dry, Ill be sanding again and then giving several top coats before, cleaning all the internals so theyre silky smooth.
