Tight mag pouches
9 April, 2011, 17:42
Hi guys I was skirmishing today with my first assault vest and it says the m4 pouches can hold 2 each. When i tried to reload it took me a very long time to swap mag because it was really hard to fit two in, is there anything I can do about this?
Thanks

Then I would need to buy more pouches, Warrior Assault Systems and the sides are elasticated.

Re: Tight mag pouches
so im guessing its a plate carrier style vest then? either way the elastic will give a bit. leave the mags in it for a while and itll be fine mate

Re: Tight mag pouches
Leave the mags in until your next skirmish. This should stretch them out a bit and take the shape of your mags better

Re: Tight mag pouches
The most important pouch i own is my dump pouch, the mags may be tight in the pouch but that will give over time as the elactic wears out. but having a dump pouch you can just wang your mags in that rather than trying to squeeze them back into a double pouch, speeds things up a treat, also makes a great place to dump pyro and whan in a dead zone i jam my hat and gloves in there to cool down. i reccommend getting the belt mounted ones (hate to admit this in front of everyone but mine is made by viper) they have a sphinkter (get in) to stop your mags falling back out. Best bit of kit you can buy. Love it.

Re: Tight mag pouches
I had the same issue with tight m4 mag pouches and sopmod mags. I squeezed 2 mags in each pouch then heated the pouches up with a hair dryer, now I get 2 mags in each pouch nicely, not too tight not too slack. If like mine your pouches have a sort of plastic lining this trick will work.
