So what ghillie system is this and how has he done it and what is he wearing

For example i can see ESS advancers

he could have used a sowing machine and just sowed stripps on like that?

Russian Flora by the look of it.

The other jagged bits seem to be added by him in addition to the base jacket and trousers.

Custom made i say, good idea though.

Hmm dont think the concept would work very well at ground zero mind you

Might be the case i fork out £84 for the jackpyke oak tree ghillie suit thing
or get a vest and get burlap and fray it out to make it look like grass

Buy two matching jackets of a non-digital design and cut one into strips and sew these onto the other one, cheap system and it works well.

Though the £84 for a ghillie kit seems a bit steep, why not try a scratch built one for that personal touch.

FireKnife isnt that just a cheaty way of making 3d camouflage..will it work as well as having a ghillie suit if i lay down in the grass etc at GZW.

What i may end up doing is buying a extra set of DPM Trousers and smock and sewing it into them with very long burlap creating a sheet effect like the royal marines minus the helmet

Good idea, poorly executed. He's sown on the material in straight strips, which means he'll probably be even more visible

Well, if you're trying to blend into the background, there are no straight lines in nature, so sewing straight stripes on defeats it's purpose

tbch the only ghille suit to completly work is on a wearer dedicated to sitting in one spot all day (who i stood on) other then that imho why bother (@gzw) i myself have sat in a spot wearing desert tiger stripes and a black hoodie with enemy walking straight by me, and have caught ghille suit wearers at bang kill range, whether thats due to skill or random happining IMO ghilles arnt worth it at all in airsoft

Yeah, it is a good idea but remember the fundemental S's of camouflage.

Shape in particular, you want to break up your shape and not look like what you are, a solid object, bits of random cuts and additions in the right place and it will help out.

As for the other idea i put up, it's cheap but it does break up shape well, not as effective as ghillie but for about £10 for two old DPM jackets it's not a bad idea if you don't have the money.

For when i need to spring a trap or hide in the trees to catch people out with a pistol, i use a piece of 5 foot by 3 foot OD netting with some brown spray paint on it in patches, draped over me in a still, prone position i have had people walk within easily 5-15 metres of me and not notice, only to be hit out by a pistol round from me.

Ghillie and most concealment camouflage is only really effective if you stay still, my idea doesn't work to well if i need to move fast as i have to bundle the netting and take about a good 30 seconds to lie under and shape out in readiness.

But for £3.75 and £1 for the spray it works for me.

i all ways thought about useing the netting they put over tanks and landys and soe some of that or make a full set of over alls lol it's leafy and breaks the shape you can wash it it's light
