L96 Sears...What are they and a question ?
24 April, 2011, 16:54
Hi all
What are L96 Sears and here is my question;
I have a L96 at the moment with these upgrades-stock spring-M150 i think ? a laylax piston and spring guide. and what i plan to do is put in a M170 spring and wondered what else i need to get to make it work not break every shot.

Re: L96 Sears...What are they and a question ?
The sears are the part that pull back the spring and hold it in position, but also release the spring via the trigger.
If one of these breaks (usually the piston sear) then the rifle will not hold the spring back when cocked.
High power springs basically go over the limit for the material used in stock rifles, so it is therefore advisable to replace them when you upgrade a spring.

a 170 spring is more than likely to push you over 500fps

This should help with the reliability.
