my barrel

I have a m4 I love it I was shooting it yesterday at a gun box I was getting 3 or 4 on target the rest was not even hitting the box I am guessing it’s the fact that I have a 6.05 barrel in my m4 and was thinking I might put a 6.01 in it I have seen some videos on you tube of it I was just wounded if anyone has one or used one could tell me what they think of it I understand there not going to be the most bang on thing in the world but I would like to try and get it so it as close as dam it
