    Which do you use?

I have some 1600mAh 20C and 1050 30C 7.4's. But have just had a mail from a company who makes some 1000mAh (1A) 40C yes 40C that will fit in the box.

They give a constant 40 Amps. Burst 80A That's pretty serious power from a small battery.

Would you use them. I recon they would be aswsome. Huge power to your tiny weapon...erm..

Set up the internals right then perhaps, but they probably won't last very long at all!

        Re: PEQ15 Batteries.

I know it's not a direct comparrison, but my SHS motor in my M41 was running flat out on a 14.8 20C 2650mAh, they charge to just under 17v.

It made no difference using another with a 40C discharge rate. So obviously the voltage was enough using an M110 spring to get it to run at 100%. If I was using standard ratio gears and an M150 I dare say the 40C would have made a difference. With the higher rated battery able to give more oompf allowing the neo magnet motor to spin at the same speed.

The advantage the higher C rating will give you is for smaller batteries and a higher C are safe to discharge quickly. Which happens in tuned AEG's. One of the worse things you can do to a LiPo is discharge it too quickly, everything gets really hot, sometimes really quickly. So the higher discharge rate will eliminate the heat from the system. One less thing to worry about.

If you only use small batteries and a low 15C 7.4. You need to be sure they are not being over discharged. Or it will end in tears...

oh! Rof was a bit too much for my liking using the 40-50c, seemed much better with a 15c with 25c 10sec burst, gun runs 3 round burst anyway

I have a 30C that fits easily. The 40C is about the same size..

What is the cavity size Guard?
