i have the g&g ak 74 and its a very good gun, i also have the l85 but as with all of these it suffers terribly from single lockup but fine on full auto

Re: Anyone know what G&G metal guns are like?
I've had the L85a2, FS51 (twice), AKMs and LR300s. All were extremely solid and well put together. I'd say that in my experience G&G externals are second to none and I never had any reason to doubt the internals.

The older RKs were prone to breaking the stock tangs and the stocks broke off

They're also built like the proverbial brick houses, especially the wood aks and the lrs

Be wary of the G3 Conversion parts though, I bought an MSG 90 stock, was held together by plastic screwholes and felt quite cheap, Had to araldite it multiple times to get the desired strength, that's my only experience of G&G and hasn't put me off to a good start with them.

Indeed, i saw a few broke that way. Early M14 were shockingly badly put together too. Enough to put me off them for good.
