Why do you airsoft?

Well, in my case, it's because I've watched far too many war movies.

My own military career was (a) brief to say the least and (b) unspectacular (let's just say I won't be giving Chris Ryan/Andy Mcnab any sleepless nights) and I'm too old and far too cowardly to join the TA. I also realise that we're basically playing the kid's game of soldiers, just with a bigger budget. So, why did you start?

always wanted to do it, and its more fun than paintball. Its a good alterantive to joining the army because you get dressed up like a soldier but dont actually die when you get shot. Everyones a winner!

because my friend grew up wanting to be like his dad (ex royal marine) but the poor guy has asthma. when he went to sign up for the army ... not marines (i dont know why he didnt apply marines) he was declined because he wasnt free of asthma symptoms for 4 years; which he was really down in the dumps. though we all kind of knew it because his heart has stopped 3 times in the year before. i felt this would be the closest thing i could get him to what he wanted to do. thus we both started airsoft ...

on the plus side hes been symptom free for 3 and a bit years so hes reapplying soon!

To get away from life and I want to join the army but that's not going to happen, Bad Asthma, Autism, Fatism, Hayfever ect.

I play for the love of guns plus it gets me out the house and some sort of exersice and loads of fun shooting people. social gain from playing with friends and couple of hours away from the stress of life

When I was a kid, you could walk into any model shop and buy model gun kits. They were great, full size and with working actions and dummy rounds.

The closest I can get now is airsoft.

Plus, as a bonus, if I want to shoot Purcy at close range I don't get sent to prison!

I airsoft because Its excerise but actually fun!

Plus handling toy guns makes you feel like a man....
