Need some MOLLE vest/plate carrier advice!

Hi all,

does antone have any recommendations for a MOLLE plate carrier or vest. I've been looking at the Defcon 5 Recon Harness bu not sure if it will be able to hold enough pouches?
Looking for something for a bit over £100 new
so any ideas would be appreciated

For that budget, Flyye, Pantac, WAS are all good, its just then which one you like the look of

I would say a large number of people on here will recommend a RICAS or RICAS Compact (personally I use the compact). what pouches are you wanting on it so we know is there will be enough space

I am wanting quite a bit of space as it will be used for a bit of load carrying aswell and ACF. Need quite a few ammo pouches, a couple of utiliy pouches, ID pad thing, possibly water bladder holder, grenade pouch or two and a radio one maybe some space for a few others
it also has to be DPM or OD

Please read the rules, NO linking to other retailers. You need to be more specific about what you are going to carry as it is difficult to picture it without exact numbers of pouches.

Example. My Ricas I carry
8 M4pouches
1 Medium utility
1 Admin pouch
1 utility that doubles as a dump pouch (idk the propper name of it)
1 water bladder
1 grenade pouch
1 radio pouch
and I still have room for pouches.

oops sorry, I thought that meant to advertise ect.

anyway, that props sounds about the right amout for me but I would probs have one more utility and open top mah pouches

Well if you google "Warrior RICAS" you should find something useful, will be a little bit more than you are wanting to spend though. Worth it though! there are many different choices of set ups on websites that sell them. Be warned they do get VERY hot in the summer.

cant go wrong with a CIRAS or RICAS. Plenty of molle real estate. Brand wise Warrior, Eagle industries, flyye or pantac

they look good i have to say, would prefer dpm but od is fine,
any opinion on the defcon 5?

I would recommeded a ricas/ciras copy too!

Equally, google flecktarn and check the bulle stuff! Cheap but very good!

Personally i went for a genuine issue DDPM osprey vest because you can fit everything in there and still have space for more. I have 13 pouches with it and i can live off the contents for 48 hours
