I guess this is an airsoft forum so my post has to be slightly relevant ... so can anyone think of an airsoft gun that is the equivalent to those nerf crap things?

Okay, you need an education in nerf.

Nerf is not designed to be realistic, Nerf is designed to be fun, and slightly stupid. Hence the not so great ranges and cartoonish looks.

But at least I can pitch up in any park in the country with a bunch of mates and shoot each other with foam without having the police called.

Nerf and airsoft can't be compared, because they're not the same thing.

nerf guns are quality and add comedic effect to whatever you are doing, but you need a sense of humour and a heart in the right place to appreciate that

I would LOVE a nerf tomahawk to throw around at airsoft but they won't allow it

I see there is humour to be gained from nerf but not to the extent of wanting to pay lots of money for one

Seriously? You're gonna use that argument?
£50 is NOTHING compared to the £200 minimum you'd need to spend in airsoft to get a decent AEG.

As for the Tomahawk, don't bother. There's no weight to them, so you can't throw them effectively. I've tried.

Clearly some people seem to take things too seriously. Just because it shoots projectiles, it doesn't need to be realistic. Next someone's gonna say ban it, they are fin stabilised so illegal or something!
Just lighten up, it's a kids toy designed to have a giggle with!
