Indeed but a spotter comes into play more in static long term positions not lots of moving about. Aside from weight its bloody lot harder for 2 guys to move stealthily.
Also this is in regards to airsoft, its more protection than spotting although a extra set of eyes is always good! anybody who says otherwise is living in their imagination a little to much...
In regards to reality, the spotter is normally the senior guy and back in the day carried an lsw. The sniper had his rifle and a sa80.
As i said, it wasnt an informed comment, just a thought, thanks for clearing that up, sod being a spotter then, support weapons weigh more than me!

Re: Spotter's Weapon
Most Uk spotters use the SA80 these days although the LSW was used as a DMR for some time (a much better role for it than as a light support weapon)

Afghan side, the spotters are using the sharpshooter and the sniper the 338, it allowed them to do mini co-ord shoots. Good stuff as youre lucky to just get one pair in a pb let alone a team

Where is the whatever the hell you want button? You don't need a type, as long as full auto is there to lay down suppressing fire when they get to close to your hide or within MED thats all you need.
This Post may contain my opinions and if you disagree with them Tough S**T!

Re: Spotter's Weapon
Considering that an airsoft sniper rifle cannot shoot further than about (at max) 100m the spoters role is moot - pointless.
Just aim and shoot them, there are not enough physics involved in airsoft to have to change windage and elevation.
Fair enough for 'realism' but very dull.

Re: Spotter's Weapon
