Desert Eagles - Love or hate?
12 July, 2011, 23:56
Due to another thread getting hijacked, I thought I'd start a specific one.
Do you love or hate desert eagles?
Personally I love mine. Great range, accuracy and power. It is not very practical as a side arm due to its size in holsters. However, I find it great as a primary.
What are your thoughts?

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
I got one after firing the real thing in Canada .
It was great for the woods i played in but being silver it wasn't very tactical .
Its kick and sound even on 134a put a grin on my face all day ..
Having taken it apart i found the internals to be very fragile compared to other gbb on the market ..
If i was offerd one cheap i would buy it if it was black

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
I've owned one and loved it for a long time, shame holsters are proper gash but they're so fun. People who enjoy the gun for it's perks and hate the downs like me. Get a Tm fn-57. Black Hawk holsters with all the power and kick etc.

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
I couldn't understand the attraction to them and used to "Poo-poo" the very thought of them, as they are just too unwieldy. Having now gotten a hold of one and using it in anger, I'm a convert. Looks/sounds awesome, feels great in the hand and the kick
is
very nice indeed.

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
possibly, i presume youre talking about cock size? want to exchange photos for comparison? each penis must be shown next to an aeg so were not just copying and pasting from some gay porn site? Id like that, a lot.

Im not one to stand in blokes tiolets and compare sizes but ive had no complaints from past female partners
I first seen the degle used on the silver screen on commando with Arnold swurtz a biscuit and liked it ever since. But you couldn't get one back then .The first 8mm blank fire gun i bought was a desert eagle in 1987

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
I love them; yet I know I shouldn't.
I have two, one of each colour; which wasn't by design.
It started when I needed a GBB pistol; having experienced the absolute gash-ness that are M9s, a mate selling up offered me a Chrome Desert Eagle, sceptical at first, but for £60 with two mags and holster, I gave in.
I bought myself two more mags (Black, however) to make it somewhat skirmish-able.
Then; a couple of months later, I decided to get a few more mags. (My main site at the time was a CQB site, where pistols came in very useful, so fair enough).
However; I also met someone selling a Black version with five mags for the very tempting price of just £90; just slightly over the cost of three mags.
Logically, it made sense to buy the whole package. And so I ended up with two with nine mags in total.
The only problem I have with them is; as mentioned by many others; the holstering problem.
Other than that; I love them.
Big, silly; sure. But being able to adjust the hop without having to strip the gun down is a big plus in my eyes, as well as being able to fit mags in pouches that would baulk at a .45 such as a Hicapa or USP.
Although my luck with daft guns seems to have carried on; managing to get a TM 226 cheap, as I'd hoped; only for it to be yet another chrome pistol!

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
£60 for a chrome is a bargain, theres nothing finer than getting the drop on someone with a chrome in the woodland
strike systems do a desert eagle hip holster thats spot on and pretty durable, ive modded mine into a shoulder holster rig that works a blooming treat

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
I don't love them or hate them either, but I chose hate simply because of when some people see them they stand in awe and say "wow, that must be a real beast". Erm no, it fires 6mm BBs just like pretty much everything else you'll see
Real ones are fun though

Re: Desert Eagles - Love or hate??
My experience with them is they shoot superbly well (TM Hardkick)- that fixed barrel and rotary HOP make snap shooting opponents at 30m+ a cinch with a bit of practice- and it looks intimidating.
But the negatives are it's very wide, filling your vision in CQB- the overall size is a PITA when sourcing mag pouches and holsters...Also, being a light plastic build, it feels tail heavy and the handling is pretty poor compared to something slimmer/shorter....and there's an underlying vulgarity to the whole thing.
