Hi guys, just found some videos on a YouTube channel that left me shocked, disturbed and even angry.

I would be interested in your thoughts and feelings about kids as young as these reviewing various airsoft guns and air rifles. Things like this is why power limits will be reduced!

Well they are in the US. Gun culture is more prevalent there. I don't agree with it, and someone more familiar with US law may want to chime in, but I don't think it's illegal for them to have them (orange tip law is only certain states if I recall correctly).

Personally I wouldn't be comfortable letting someone under 14 use a projectile weapon in a game scenario, but supervised target shooting would be fine by me.

As disturbing as it is, I'm sort of used to it by now- nothing really shocks me when it comes to the Americas and their craving for weaponry. It's frightening.

I love airsoft and I love fiddling with airsoft guns and making them look as awesome as possible- but I for one don't understand people who take pictures of their airsoft guns alongside loads of inerts... why?! Why are you trying to make it look real?

Never understood that- maybe someone could shed some light (whilst staying on topic!)

I'm not comfortable with under 18s on a skirmish field, or even on the internet... Shit happens unfortunately.

They are yanks, and i guess it's a decent and safer introduction to firearms. Haven't watched the rest on the channel, maybe they are little dirt bags though.

I don't think our power limits will be reduced based on foreign retard kids though, we have enough of them here to base facts on.

(Plus if you look at Robins thread where he's been in contact with the law, they are testing things, not scouring youtube for knee jerk reaction material.)

Yes, the undeniable logic of the internet.

Child makes thread expressing disgust at how other children review airsoft toys that they themselves may not legally purchase.

There are reasons why laws are in place to limit this kind of behaviour, as children are deemed irresponsible until they reach the age of common majority.

Of course I'm more worried about the number of under 18's who keep endangering our sport over here by attempting to illegally buy RIF's, would the OP care to comment on that?

I partially agree with that comment, as some "Adults" shouldn't be allowed out on their own, never mind being legally able to obtain RIFS/IFS. Yet, that's how the law works.

be disgusted with thier parents, they are the ones buying the guns for the kids...

I have allways loved guns, had air rifles and pistols as a 12yr old+, but I was taught to use them properly, my dad built me an enclosed range in the garden, taught the right's and wrong's of using them and had a respect for any firearm ever since.

What grips my piss, is the youtube footage of kids "shooting the fat kid " ect, those are the ones that show us in a bad light...

Though this one makes me laugh, simply because the kid probably deerved it!

I just clicked on your 1st link, i had a shotgun about the same age as that kid, Webley, .410 bolt action, beautifull piece of kit. However Im off now to read my Daily Mail, those no good pesky kids, I need to stamp on all of their toys Ive claimed for myself, make sure they are swaddled in cotton wool, health and safety gone mad, and sue everybody at the drop of a hat. Jeez.....
