29 July, 2011, 18:41
hey guys, i got intio airsoft as i have a love for guns. it started in games etc then i moves to airsoft which i love. ide also love to experiance firing a real steel weapon. ide love to go to some sort of range or shooting centre to used real steel fire arms. i live in the bristol area and was wondering if anyone knows of a place i can go to participate in this sort of activity. to add, i dont mean clay shooting etci mean shooting range etc.

Re: real steel shooting centre's?
Yes, it's an organisation called HM Forces! Join up and you get to fire real steel guns, potentially at real people!
Seriously though, short of shotguns for clay pigeon or hunting, it is pretty much illegal now. Even competition shooters like biathletes have to go abroad.

Re: real steel shooting centre's?
There are very rare "range days" about if you can find them. Last one I was looking at was on a MOD site in aid of H4H. £250 got you to shoot AK's, M4's, SA80's, plus various sniper rifles and machine guns.
But... that only been run once this year!

Go to Prague.
Can get a weekend package with flights, transfers, and a decent B&B for about £250pp.
Then go to the range. £400 or so would do it.

As what Fenriz mentioned above, this is what me and my lads are doing sometime over the winter period.

Re: real steel shooting centre's?
Hi if you can get there, Bisley shooting range has two events a year where you can pay a price to enter and then £5 to have 5 shots on a selected weapon, they have a large selection of rifles and I have shot M4, Aug's, L96 and various other wapons in previous years.
Hope this helps

As mentioned above, bisley is quite possibly your only viable option! They have all sorts of days which you can experience some very "interesting" toys :D

Re: real steel shooting centre's?
Was talking to this guy who him and his mates went somewhere in Poland where you can shoot all you like for under 75euros worth, ranging from mp5's, ak's, m4's the lot, and best of all with fit women strip down in bikini's handing you the guns - apparently had a whale of a time, as i'd expect. :D That's what I call a proper mans holiday out

Florida
Got a few m8s over there and ended firing lots of rounds in the back of his garden with numerous firearms.
