Toyko Marui Glock 17 and Serpa's
7 August, 2011, 15:27
Now here is a question that I get varied answer to so I would like to set the record straight once and for all.
Can a Tokyo Marui Glock 17 custom (latest model) fit in a Glock 17 serpa holster? If there are any simple mods requried that an amateur can do to make the Glock fit could you please mention them as well.
Many thanks to everyone

Mine fits fine however you do have to trim the top of the serpa down a bit because of the thumb rest. Took 2 mins with a hacksaw and a smooth file to remove any sharp edges.

Re: Toyko Marui Glock 17 and Serpa's
Ok sounds promising the only thing is that I dont want to attempt to cut down the serpa then I cut to much and it either looks ugly/brake it. I might just take off the thumb rest though I have no idea how.

Re: Toyko Marui Glock 17 and Serpa's
common consensus is that they generally don't fit in the serpa 17 as the tm slide is wider than real steel but apparantly they do fit well into the serpa for the glock 21.
I hate plastic holsters so i can't verify this as fact but its what i've read over and over again in many places.

Buy a Glock 21 serpa and the TM G17 fits it perfect with no work required!

Tap out the retaining pin that goes through the frame and holds the rest in place. The rest should then just slide off.
Remember to put that pin back in though!!

I just measured mine with how much the gum rest needs to go down and used a junior hacksaw then filed the edges smooth. Fits perfectly.

Use more force!
Just about to go down this route as Ive just ruined my safari land by heating it in the oven, in an attempt to stretch it out to get the block in with a light.
People have any trouble with the clone glock 21 holsters? Had some good things going with my old one for my hi capa

Yup. It's what you do apparently to make the fit 100% except now it's just a weird shape and fits 0%, because when it cools down, it shrinks
