Revolvers....
12 August, 2011, 11:06
Hi people... I'm looking on buying a revolver, want to spend no more than £150 if possible. Must be one that you have to load individual "shells" into either .357 or .44 kind of look (because it looks cool) any ideas on a good brand or where to get one, I've seen a few out there online but want some advice from people who have owned one on performance build quality etc etc.
Cheers

Re: Revolvers....
I've got a Marushin revolver that I picked up in a trade recently and can vouch for its useability. It
can
be a bit of a pain reloading, but nothing a speedloader wouldn't solve.
The gun itself is ABS and the "bullets" (cases) are brass, but it doesn't feel it. It's a nice weight and looks cool as feck.
Apparently, they're more of a collector/display piece than a skirmishable sidearm, but I
had
to give it a run out.
I'm glad I did. :D

Any particular look? A .357 could look like this:
Or this
What's the fps?
Don't get a revolver if it's the FPS you're after
Well, unless you get an old Tanaka.
I'd recommend a Marushin, but don't expect the FPS to blow you away.

Yeah, as Apurturesci states, FPS isn't fantastic, but they're used for the grin factor more than anything. Mine's the Unlimited Maxi in chrome. Sweet looking gun.
In fact, any excuse:
They aren't called "Hand-cannons" for nothing!

Re: Revolvers....
Yeah I noticed fps is pretty low, but it is more for the look, prefer a bog standard gun not too many bits and bobs on it lol... Co2 are all like 400fps is there anyway to make them less powerful?

Re: Revolvers....
power ain't everything.
my tanaka m500 shoots at around 300 fps, but its accurate, and has better range than most GBB pistols, obviously it has its draw backs, its slower to fire, its big and it takes longer to reload.
quick draw is great, the looks and intimidation of revolvers is great.
once you go wheel gun you don't go back.

I'd say forget the shells and go with a tanaka. You'll have a gun that works and is actually quite skirmishable too. I do like the marushin wheel guns but for practicality the tanakas edge it for me.

Re: Revolvers....
But the wheel guns are so much fun to load especially when you have a speedloader, besides it about realism i though, you want practicality get a GBB.

Re: Revolvers....
If your site lets single shot guns up to like 420 fps like most sites, why not get a Dan Wesson
I mean, it is single shot

Re: Revolvers....
If you're getting one purely for the looks and aren't too concerned about FPS, go for a springer instead?
You can pick up a UHC Python for £25. 6 shot, shell-loading revolver and they are up for sale now and again on here.
