Selecter Switch replacement
15 August, 2011, 16:16
Hi again guys,
I have a ICS MP5 that has a pretty loose selecter switch plus one side has abit if the metal rod broken off and isnt really that secure. Was wondering whats the best way to sort this?
Can i just replace the selecter switch itself or do i need replace the plate as well? I've been told i need to open up the gear box to do any of this but i've never done that before
Thanks
Jamie

Re: Selecter Switch replacement
Anyone know how to sort this, i've tried already just taking the selecter switch out and out it back in again.
It's a tiny bit better but its still pretty loose, doesnt sound like it clicks into place properly

Re: Selecter Switch replacement
Yeah the thumb bit itself is fine, its the end of the rod that the thumb bit screws into that has broken off abit, so i would need to buy a new selecter switch because its loose at the end and gets knocked off easily lol.
But like i said the selecter switch when turning is quite loose and i can't tell sometimes if its in single or full auto unless i fire it, should i replace the selecter plate?

But you can change the selector switches without removing anything else.

Re: Selecter Switch replacement
Does it not "click" into place?
If so, you just missing the tiny nub that sites inside the switch.

Re: Selecter Switch replacement
ics selector switch for MP5 is rubblish imo, TM and CA have that reasuring "click" which ICS seems to lack....anyway the switch has a spring and a small catch which i think is made up with a tiny ball bearing
