ubacs sleeves
18 August, 2011, 01:08
heya guys does anyone else have the problem with there claw gear ubacs that with the extra material sown on to house the elbow pads you cant roll your sleeves up? it is very annoying for me as i like to wear mine with rolled sleeves.
looking into a possible fix for this and wondered if people had the same problem

Think yourself lucky you havent got an issue MTP UBACS with padding from top to bottom that cant be removed because someone has sewn up all the openings so well i dare not even try to pick it open...lol
Is the padding on yours sewn into place?
Maybe just unpick the stitching enough to remove the padding then sew it back up.

Re: ubacs sleeves
Is that the issued stuff? All mine (issued) slip right out of lovely holes and the padding is now laying in a dark corner of the house

claw gear matey. they obviously do things more awkwardly :D the pad comes out but the remaining fabric left to hold it in place is thick and wont roll

Re: ubacs sleeves
My mistake, my only advice if you never want it to be long sleeve again is cut it up,
Then you could sew a length to get the imitation of it being rolled up (as long as the bottom is a fold and the rolled bit is the underneath patern, it should look right), so you don't just look like a tard who just cut the sleeves off lol.
But as mine are free i dont have to worry about £70 for ubacs.
Could try and find damaged or worn ones to butcher up?

I wouldn't advise cutting away at it.
