Fairy Power spray with two layers of paint?
20 August, 2011, 00:54
Hey guys
Basically, I've just bought a JG BAR 10 on here that is ex two tone. I was thinking that these were never made in two tone, were they? So it the two tone must be sprayed on, then black sprayed on top of it. I was wondering if the fairy power spray trick to remove paint would get both of these layers off, because I've saw a video saying it will only remove the top layer?
Also, would it harm the rubber finish they have on the stocks?
Thanks

Just the top layer. The stock is injection moulded so it's made of coloured plastic.

Wait, there were two tone G-Specs?
Well, I'll just try a little bit on the inside of the stock, guess that's the only way I'll find out for sure if it's injection or painted

Right, I just took the back plate thing off the stock and the inside is black, plus the green scratches off, does this mean it's painted not moulded?

it may be painted only way to try is some paint remover on the outside of the stock or if you post a picture i could tell you if its moulded or not

Re: Fairy Power spray with two layers of paint?
Its definitely painted, main reason is that it's black inside of the stock, and some of the green paint that was showing just scratched off

Try some nail polish remover, quick soak then a light scrub with an old tooth brush.
