Firefly hop up buffer rubbers?
20 August, 2011, 16:19
Anyone use these?, how do they work and do they require any modding to fit a normal hop unit? Also, i know this sounds stupid, but which way up do they go? Any diagram would be usefull.
Thanks.

They install just like any other bucking. If you can't work it out you probably shouldn't touch the inside of your AEG. They're good one set up right.

|_O_|.....sort of :P the "o" bit goes in the arm of the hop right? Its just different to other nubs out there.

Re: Firefly hop up buffer rubbers?
The rubber itself goes on the end if the barrel as normal. The nub goes flat face down and each 'wing' facing either end of the barrel.
If it's an m4 type hop it should fit in no problems. However when I installed on a ICS SA80 the hop arm's semi circle where the nub sits needed to be dremeled out about 3mm to allow the hop to be set to completely off

Re: Firefly hop up buffer rubbers?
buffer rubbers are nubs, not hop rubbers, o the confusing terminology
