hardcore subdued fabrics

is there such a thing? the reason i ask is that my bdu as allot of others has room for sliding knee pads into. now this is a problem as your constantly kneeling on the fabric every time you use the thing (which is a retarded idea)

i wondered if i could get hold of some olive or khaki type very heavy duty fabric and sow it onto the knees so it wouldn't be as damaging when kneeling and if needs must can be removed and replaced should the need occur.

Normally you would use nylon in such an area. It is available in colors and patterns that would match your uniform.
