  • Full Stock Or Sliding - I Can't Decide :(

    Help!

Just completed my MP5, just can't decide if I should do the full stock or the sliding. I have both, and I'd probably have the sliding one always extended.

So in terms of practicality it does not matter, but which one do you think looks best?!

      SLIDING STOCK!

Looks better than a full one, unless you want to use a big battery.

Still torn, I like them both!

I think the full stock looks quite imposing, but then the sliding looks more "technical" I suppose.

Running a 9.6v which fits in the stock, a sliding would require a battery sling.

            *sobs* Lord give me guidance!

With that set up (the scope mainly) i would go for the full stock as it makes the rifle look bigger/bulky.

Full stock makes it look bulkier but somehow in my mind the sliding one just suits that particular mp5 i recon.

The sliding stock makes the gun sit a little lower against my shoulder. Making it harder to level the iron sights to my eye line. The full stock looks a little bulky on that gun, ungainly even. The sliding stock better matches the scope mount and RIS combo. Comes down to form V function.

Wasn't so sure on the scope, what you reckon?

There is no "standard" scope for the MP5 really.

I would say put a reflex sight on there, but then again thats only my opinion

in terms of looks, the sliding stock looks cooler and balances it a bit, whereas the full stock doesnt really look that nice. just my opinion though.

Whilst it looks good with either, I would go with the full stock, it allows the flexibility re larger batteries. And if you leave the sliding stock out fully, you can nothing from having it, apart from the aesthetic, if you prefer it.

If your deciding purely on looks, you will get a million answers, but if you considering practicality too, then full is the way to go!
