ICS MX5 Pro
5 September, 2011, 22:08
Hi All
I have just bought one of these sexy pieces of airsoft beauty. I was advised that I could fit an 11.1v lipo straight on with no worries, but am unsure as it come with a 7.4v. The compartment for the battery is tiny, has anyone got and is using a higher rate battery.
Cheers
Nick
It seems like such a terrible shame that innocent civilians have to get hurt in wars, otherwise combat would be such a wonderfully healthy way to rid the human race of unneeded trash.

Re: ICS MX5 Pro
hi mate
i have one of these but have not used a 11.1v lipo. one word of advise watch the selector plate they are a real problem on the mk1 model and ruddy hard to get hold of. i know of a certain company that have 12 in atm awaiting the part and they only seen to be able to get about 4 a month.

Yeah first problem its new, and 380 out of the box so probably 400 when bedded in.

OP
I take it you are talking about the MS1 or not so MP5 looking one as your pic isnt showing.
I would say no, the 11.1v split packs are just either too long or too fat compared to 7.4v, i just barely managed to fit a 7.4v in mine.
However i would say 7.4v split pack lipo is perfectly sufficent for it once tuned it gives amazing trigger response and ROF over a standard AEG.

I could (almost
) forgive the ris and the stock if it wasn't for that stupid trigger group/lower receiver.
I am ordering mine today Yaaay, Im getting the a5 version though. I love my mp5's I have sold nearly all my guns now, and ended up with (soon to be) 3 mp5's
