they use a reciever unit and a transmitter, you press a button on the transmitter then by magic... i mean science an electrical impulse of some sort triggers the grenade simples

yep.. although extending the wire is reccomended, unless you dont like eyebrows..

a 9v pp3 will set off most elec det pyro without an issue

Be careful though before you buy them, check that your site allows them, some dont and you will just waste money
