WW2 game in surrey limpsfield.UWG
19 September, 2009, 18:18
NOT SURE WHERE TO PUT THIS
Ultimate Wargames – limpsfield Kent / Surrey border.
Sunday 29th November (not a confirmed date but 80% chance of this date),
Game fee, £20
General info
Having a small game for one day for the south east ww2 airsofters, the site isn’t overly big so capping this one to about 20 a side, minimum for go-ahead is 15 a side or total of 30 players.
The site has 3 main structures with numerous barricades and positions of cover, terrain is woodland with a few roads that you can get vehicles down but can’t explore the whole woods, brilliant fixed MG positions and with this time of year can be a brilliant sites for general fire fights, also has many natural chokepoints which can sway the deciding factor of a win to the team in control of these points.
The game will give the chance for both teams allied, axis forces to attack and defend.
Game plan
Hoping to kick off at around 9 30 am,
0930hrs: US/ British forces start off at safe zone and secure the fort Harris as their first objective to obtain Intel on the nearby axis field HQ, after a tough fight with the axis forces to obtain the Intel they then have to defend from a German counterattack to retake the fort, the game relies on the allied forces holding this point until resupplies and reinforcements arrive at roughly 1000 hrs
1010hrs: after a quick reload, the allied forces split into 2 teams to capture the next German point to cut off their frontlines. One team takes the right flank and secures the tree line which the Germans are using to resupply this point from the recently discovered HQ.
The second team moves straight up the road to secure what is known to the axis as R-point, one of the main fixed MG emplacements, from this the allied will regenerate and move on up the road to take the much needed CP.
1040 hrs: after a blood thirsty battle to obtain the depot, the CP just taken turned out to be an ammo dump, which gives the allies the help they needed, with the much greater fire power, the HQ should be a walk in the park
the Axis split into 2 squads, one tries to re-take the “depot” as a counterattack against the British, the 2nd squad sets up 2 ambush points which the Americans turn out to walk right into.
These ambushes play a major role in defending the Axis field hospital and HQ.
As you can probably guess the allied forces also split into 2, a larger force to obtain access to the road and repel against the German ambushes and the second, smaller force to defend the depot from the German Counter-attack.
1115 hrs: the German effort to re-take the ‘depot’ also is a future factor in the game plan, if the Germans succeed the Americans will be cut off and will retreat to the fort Harris and have to make a major push to attack the depot once again. If the Germans are annihilated then the Americans will hold position and wait for the smaller squad to reinforce the push on the German HQ. All Vehicles are then to move up the road to make a Regenerate point for the Allies.
1200hrs: The major offensive against the German HQ begins, once again, 2 squads try to pincer the weakened Axis into surrender, one smaller ‘scout squad’ moves around to the right to pick off the remaining fanatic Germans. The other squad will move straight down the road with little cover against the HQ, which will have large defences in place. (Vehicles cannot move past a certain location)
One advantage the allies do have, the HQ, which has been poorly places is cornered off. Be aware that German scouts can break past without discovery and wreak havoc on the allied attackers.
1300 hrs, return to lock-up for lunch
1340 hrs, move up to the woods, after somewhat fearsome battle the US and British managed to take the HQ, not knowing what is coming up, after reinforcements and setting up general emplacements, A small German Convoy of troops containing one very important commander in the Nazi party are returning from a defeat from the British 6th airborne, outnumbering the Allies, they launch a small offensive against the HQ,
1415hrs: the allied forces manage to repel the Germans and have to retake all of the strongholds that had been taken from them on their push into the HQ. For the rest of the day, the time is spent taking the 2 positions that are now under axis command.
1515hrs: after re-securing fort Harris, the final objective is to get all of the documents found on the Excursion back to the allied HQ at the other end of the forest ( conveniently the safe zone ) all that is needed is to get allied soldiers to the land rover that is located at the safe zone, there are 4 paths to take, left flank, right flank, straight on or defeat, what will the day decide?
End of the day around 4-5PM,
Fps limits will be confirmed but for AEG guns will be maximum 340.
As this is a smallish site the game will be limited to 20 a side
