  • RIS on a FAMAS? yup it actually exists!

as everyone knows the Famas is "wot am best gun?" however it has suffered from a lack of accessories (considering it was TM's first AEG you would think someone would have knocked up a few bits for it).

Well guess what i've only gone and found.....

if you are wondering, it's a RIS rail that attaches to the front of the Famas. Now I can stick 203's, torches, grip-pods or any other RIS accessory onto my Famas

and before anyone asks...yes I can get more, no they aren't for sale yet and if I do flog them it will be with the Moderators permission in a proper topic.

If you do sell them, you can just put them up for sale in the accessories section. No permission needed

this is the best I can do right now. The ones I have have an extra piece of ris that sticks out from the back (or front depending on which way you look at it). I've seen the sticky out bit mounted forward and backwards.
Most of the RIS'd famas's I've seen have a side mounted torch, vertigri(various types) and if the sticky out bit is mounted forward there is usually a laser attached.

I've seen a fair few FAMAS with the carry handle replaced with a G36c rail. Looks really good, if a bit halo-ish.

I had a look at the latest Famas last week and it has a ris rail along the top of the upper receiver with built in flip up iron sights. the bipod is still there but the lower half of each leg is now angled outwards. All told it looks vey nice compaired to the older versions.

and as far as I can tell no one makes a top rail for an airsoft famas

*edit search for Famas felin on google images to see the latest version

Mightyjebus that really looks fowl mate lol.
Looks good with the rail with a tourch and the fore grip, and just a site ontop of the normal carrying handle, silencer and it would look a beast.

they will be for sale in early jan 2012 and they will cost around 60 quid plus any postage fees. Right now I have 5 that I can sell but hopefully I may get a few more before Jan.

Attachment is pretty simple, undo the 4 bolts holding the claw part of the mount and slide the whole thing over the lower handguard. tighten bolts and if needed to allen screws can be used to make the unit rock solid on the lower handguard.

Someone needs to make an airsoft version of this.

well here's the finished item. This is a Famas F1 with RS Scope mount and RIS unit. The RIS units need a lot of modification to fit (about 5 hours of filing). If I can get my hands on a mill then that would make life easier.
