Hi all,
Just a quick question, how does everyone post there guns? as i have packed my latest one to be sent, and its quite heavy and im fearing a £40 'royal fail' bill.. Is there a cheaper way to do it?

Re: Gun postage
Parcelforce 48 - go on parcelforce.com and book it - click on the 'send now' button and book a pick up time at your house.
Or go to the PO and ask for parcelforce 48.
it's £13 - or £11.69 if you find the discount code online.

Re: Gun postage
I think it is owned by RM maybe - but it offers different services.
Through RM you can send via:
-1st class recorded.
-2nd class recorded.
- Special Delivery
But these all vary with price due to the weight. Parcelforce has one price for 24hour or 48hour for any weight up to 15kg.

Re: Gun postage
Same overall company, PF specialise in parcels and larger goods, RM mainly smaller packets and parcels i think

Re: Gun postage
Parcelforce for me too, always collect and very cheap too
Plus they take the funny shaped and heavy items too :D:D
You also get peace of mind with a tracking number you can give to the recipitant so they can track the parcel at the same time to, that way with swaps/sales you can be sure it has been sent off :D:D

Nope
Parcelforce was once part of the Royal Mail group but was bought out several years ago by deutschepost, one of the biggest postal companies worldwide. They kept the red colour scheme but had to take off the royal insignia
Deutschepost also own DHL and securicor ( money) too

Re: Gun postage
Parcel Force 48 hour is a great service. Usually between £12.00 and £15.00, insured upto £150.00 Standard parcels is quite good as well. I sent an MP44 and MP40 in the same box, insured for £270.00, cost me £15.00. Takes alittle longer but great value.
By the way PF don't send RIFs if you ask them over the phone:eek:So don't tell them whats in the package
