  • Airsoft on the big screen...

Hey all randomly was on Zune looking at the movies to rent on the Xbox and one of the new films is called 'War Games'. If you watch the preview video you see them loading up an M4 with a Hi-Cap including winding lol.

Check the link and click the video to watch it.

Also the description for the film says: An innocent game of paintball turns into a blood-stained nightmare when a group discover a hidden camp deep in the forest and are hunted down by a group of heavily armed and totally insane cannibal ex-soldiers. Forced to fight with whatever weapons they can find, the twisted mind game of catch and release becomes a deadly battle for survival by any means necessary. It's win...or die

    Notice the slight problem...

Totally crap thread I know sorry...

Looks like a rip off of the movie called "paintball" which by the description you gave sounds the same.

Wrong! Totally wrong there. Some films use airsoft guns for non-firing scenes as they don't require an armourer to be on set. 90% of the time there is a firing scene they use real firearms converted to fire full flash motion picture blanks. The only time an airsoft gun is used for a firing scene nowadays is if the gun is needed to be fired at very close range to the actor(s) or if it is in a location which just will not allow the use of blanks. I've only seen a couple instances of airsoft guns being used in firing scenes.

As above, different solutions are used for different situations including wooden replicas, airsoft RIFs, blank firers and adapted firearms.
