whats the gun like to shoot?
is it a durable gun?
will it hold up as a secondary for a few years to come?
i heard of a friend that they come with a threaded barrel, is this true?
any pictures of the gun would be appreciated thanks

1) It's not bad, and has some nice kick, but cool down is a real issue. I could only get ~13 shots off when I owned one.
2) Erm not really. I know I'm generalising but WE pistols are usually plagued with problems. I know for sure mine didn't work half the time, especially in the cold.
3) I wouldn't think so. The WE's I have owned have broken within a few months of use.
4) No, standard barrel
Pictures? Its a 1911. Nothing too interesting.
In conclusion, I would recommend the Marui, but if you're set on metal then get the KWA - not this.

Re: anyone shooting the WE GBLK M1911 A1?
I've had 2 still got 1
Use it for nam-softing in a leather holster.
I love it to bits ,fantastic kick on green and its a great weight and feels better in the hand than the TM. BUT I only use it in the summer.
This is not WE's best pistol. It was 2nd hand but it still took a lot work to get it cycling properly. Its OK accurate for a pistol.
The mags are single stack (only 17-18 rounds) and suffer from the most horrendous cool down of ANY pistol out there. In winter 3 or 4 shots = venting
so :summer use WWI, WWII and nam =
general use as a backup =
WEs arn't all bad ..my WE HiCapa works fine in most conditions

They feel great, excellent weight and kick on green gas.
Mine did come with a threaded barrel and the adapter to use a silencer.
It's also one of the loudest I own.
The only problem I've had with any WE pistols is the hop easily snapped if over tightened and the rubber O ring used aren't as good as TM so need looked after a bit more. Just need strip the mags down and re-lube them every now and again other wise they'll leak.
They do however take TM mags which are better.

No they don't....
TM 1911 mags are different to WE ones.

Had mine for a few months now, It has served me well, saved my bacon a couple of times at Brit Tac. I agree with everyone else about the mags, they could be better. the BB followers in them seem to be a part that regularly breaks if your not careful. All that said you get what you pay for, there not too bad at all so long as you look after them.
