Re: The best performers..
Just watch a few of their videos on youtube. They shoot at matchsticks and lighters if I recall right...

Basically, which brand can I expect the best performance frmo? I know VFC have the highest quality externals, but the internals i've read arn't so good, so I'm guessing the range and accuracy isnt so good? Correct me if I'm wrong..
You're wrong! My VFC (nicknamed 'The Laser' by some of my teammates is the most accurate standard AEG I've used or tried and even though it's only firing about 320fps has pretty good range too. All that was changed was the hop bucking on it. Internals have been fine on it, and the gearbox is so easy to remove, I even did it myself :p
I've also got a RS Type 56-1 and although I really like my VFC, it's externals hardly compare to the RS, which is as solid as the real thing

Re: The best performers..
Which VFC are you using?
I've got my eyes on the 105 or the AKS-74
And I apologise if I implied the internals are pants!
Which would you recommend between the RS + the VFC's i've mentioned (unfortunately, I'm much more fond of the looks on hte VFC, the '56 doesnt do it for me).

Re: The best performers..
I've got the AKS-74
My team mate recently bought a 105 with the EBB after seeing what my 74 was like. He only skirmished with it at the weekender but seemed to like it.
I'd recommend a RS AK74 but they don't do one
I prefer the 74 tbh, but I wanted a 7.62 underfolder to complete an earlier Soviet loadout I'm doing

I'm sure I could grow to like hte 56-1 if you can assure me it really is that much better?
I dont mean JUST externally, but all these wierd youtube videos shooting coins, is it really that good inside?

To be honest the Cyma Ak series is a very good choice. i had one of these and had to regretably move it on but as stock it had a 6.03mm barrel in it and a range of about 50m acccurate
Well upgrade teh crap outta it :D then your budget is well used.

Couldn't say, I haven't skirmished with it yet as it's firing 404fps and I haven't had it downgraded but I also hear good things (that's why I bought it
) They use a shortened piston, but you can get spares in the UK should something break.

I think it's because they simply don't stack up against the competition, not even the clones. I could go on, but the metal wrapped plastic body that people think is full metal says it all really. Even Z1 say:
As much metal as a real gun - Metal Receiver - Lower & Upper, Barrel, Front Parts, Sight, Butt Plate, etc...
Which simply isn't true. Trading standards anyone?
If you're happy with RS' internals, then you simply won't get a more realistic looking/feeling AK, they even smell real! And yes, I have used a real one
If only they did a 74
