Remote Detonation System
20 November, 2011, 11:21
Hiya all ,
After really wanting to get an ALPHAFire system , which for them who do not know is like C4 which i hope everyone knows about, it can be used to detonate smokes , MK5's , and most other pyro's that are electric. Well , anyway after seeing that the alpha fire was £20 I thought it was a good price , but then added postage it it was like £25 So i think that i could make one for that amount maybe not as good but at least i would have achieved something good , maybe i could even sell them
.
Here are the parts i was thinking of: (Later i need opinions first)

Just buy the alpha fire. Its guaranteed to work, only a fiver for postage, and you wont have a Flowers By Irene van parked outside your house for the next few months :P

True :p , I think I am going to the shops to get the parts to do it now anyway but the alphafire is going to be bought as soon as something goes wrong :L

4.2 volts, also you can use a wireless doorbell system to create a remote detonator from what i have heard it is quite simple and i think there is a thread on here regarding that :D

You'd be lucky to be able to make something yourself for that money.

Re: Remote Detonation System
As x-ray said an electric doorbell works for some things but it only puts out 3v, I'm sure you could probably put a higher voltage through it but I didn't want to destroy any resistors.

No, it's not.
I think your electronics knowledge could best be described as "dangerous". Especially if you plan to connect any of your inventions to anything explosive!

I beg to disagree , Have safely dismantled items with voltages of 100,000 plus all with high amperage aswell. But because i know what i am doing all of them were done safely. I have also worked with explosives and take no risks with them , Never are they connected to the device before i have Voltemetred all of them and checked they are working with at least 2ft of saftey cord...

ElectrONics isn't the same as electrics. For example, the circuit you drew looks like part of a telephone system.
You can't boost the output voltage just by adding an extra battery into the circuit - unless, of course, you want the receiver output amplifier to be the detonator. At the very least, it wouldn't last long. - And I mean from the time it's connected, not triggered.
