You can rub over it with candle wax before spraying and it should keep the trades - if they are deep enough anyway. Worth a shot! (if you do actually have defence etc)

The G&G ones are not engraved, so keeping them would be hard.
They are rubbish trades anyway, not like the real thing. Also the Magpul type you trying to copy does not have any white trades either, so extra reason to get rid!
