7 October, 2009, 03:00
right, got an m99 on the way (thanks mcwimbo :D) and i wanna know what is the best ammo i can buy..... how much it costs really doesn't matter..... i want the best......
due to strict fps limits, im gunna have to lower the fps of the barrett, but i will compensate with a TK Twist barrel.......
what shall i buy guys!

Have a look at that, off the top of my head, I'd say:
-0.30g - Superior Grade (very good, hard to find)
-0.28g - Precision Grade (I've heard good reports on Madbull in the UK, but the US says these aren't great compared to other choices)
-0.30g - Precision Grade (same as above)
-0.29g - Grand Champion (very good)
-0.30g (My favorite to use at to use at the moment)
-0.29g - Super Grand Master (very good)
Digicon Straights:
-0.30g
-0.30g (Teflon)
-0.36g (all Digicon are great, possibly the best to date, but discontinued and hard to fine)
Bioval:
-0.27g - Max (transparent) (very good - a US favourite since Digicon became so hard to find)
-0.30g (very good)
-0.28g TSD Tactical (also a favourite of mine)

Re: absolute best sniper ammo.....
SMG .29 are the best out there very little deviation in weights and sizes just the best simple as but at £15 for 500 to most expensive
the newer madbull bbs beat digicon straights again in size and mass , there .36s .4s and .43s are very good

I'm sure those BB's are good, but to say they are the best full stop is a little strong.
What makes you so sure they are the best?
As far as I know, Madbull BB's are full of air bubbles in comparison to Digicons. Digicons also go up to .43g, I only suggested below as .43g is much too heavy for a TK Twist Barrel running at 330fps.

It may be a little storng but if you look hard enough and do the research you will find threads on other boards written by 100s of players across the world ,inc myself who have taken time to do the legwork and testing in a number of differing rifles at differing fps ,s with all manner of bb wieghts and the general consensuss was that smgs came out top of the pops in all but a few tests
I will say that the heavier bbs (.43s)
For 6 years now i have used digicon .43 teflons and would never use anything else in my l96 and aps ex ,i swore by them untill i tested madbulls .43s now i wont use digicons again , i know at 70 metres + i will hit the target 90% of the time where as the digicons that was down to %75 due to the odd flyers
There are a number of threads else where with data to coralate players findings
cheers
