OK ok, I stand corrected. Since i've only been in this world 14 years, don't expect me to be to experienced with the law :P. Sorry for thinking I knew the facts, but I really didn't/don't understand how some parts of the vcra would work in action.

although the two are linked based upon what he was banned for, best we clear it up before anyone else gets banned for the same thing

Agreed, besides we already know why he was banned, although really it's no body elses' business

suspending people in my view is stupid,

if the infraction is bad enough, give one warning, next time something like that happens ban completely, suspendings a bit pathetic.

i've been suspended from another forum, it hasnt taught me to be 'good' as it were, its taught me to p***of the mods like it has done to myself.

may not be the right attitude but hey, my opinion.

We don't know if he had previous warnings and we don't know exactly what was said when TKOS pulled him up on what he said, so he may have very well deserved it.

I think thats a bit unfair, young airsofters werent the problem- it was young scallies buying cheap market springers and running around. Which, as it happens, theyre still doing.

I read sniperiain's reply to TKOS, it was on the thread after all, and I'm not in the slightest bit he got suspended for it.

Basically he said this is how to break the law and I know it's breaking the law, then said he didn't know it was breaking the law. He should have got banned for gross f***ing stupidity if nothing else.

Rubbish, it was down to the government needed to be seen doing something about gun crime. Obviously tackling REAL gun crime was far to difficult, so they decided to target toy guns.

I think the whole vcra is pointless. Do gangsters really care if they spray a toy green gun black? I'f they're gonna end up pointing an airsoft gun at someones head in a shop for example, I highly doubt they're gonna be worried that they'll get in trouble for spraying the green gun black.

Plus, alot of kids that buy springers in shops wont have a clue that there even is a law against spraying their clear plastic gun black, I've seen plenty of youtube videos of people that don't even know what airsoft is where this is the case.

i know this is different to what you guys are talking about UKARA and stuff, but one thing also why sniperiain got banned i think was because on our section of the forum (Bravo Brits) he is the moderator and he started changing some of our posts so it said rude things about our selves.

Back to topic basically iain was banned for being a dumbass and showing how to break the law, then he tried to say he didnt know even though he stated earlier.

Now if you want to have a discussion of the VCRA and the legality of things, go make a thread about it or use one of the other 50 thousand million threads that are lingering about on the topic.

By the way if you guys dont know, or want to try being a smart arse etc go google the VCRA act and read it.

IMO this should be a requirement of all airsoft site members regardless of age before they are allowed to buy a RIF, either that or it should be a disclaimer they should sign in a shop before being put on the UKARA database or buying a RIF.
