L129A1 Sharpshooter Rifle build anyone?

Watched 'Royal Marines: Mission Afghanistan' (http://www.channel5.com/shows/royal-.../episode-1-411) last night and liked the look of the L129A1 Sharpshooter Rifle sprayed up and was wondering if anyone had built one? I've got an SR25 and a crane stock so was wondering if it could be done without too many extras? Don't think the body is quite the same and don't know the barrel and RIS length? Anyone know if there a copy of the scope and what its called?

Parts I know I'd need:
Flash Hider
Bipod
Flip down Grip
Scope with Doctor sight
Magpul 7.62 short mags

PS. The Sgt had a nice sprayed up L85

There's no replica even close to the 6x ACOG. Doubt there will be either.

I don't know why everyone is so pumped on L119a1s... I think they look disproportionate and ugly...

It's 7.62mm I think so an SR25k modded would be better.

Having just looked at the acog, Could he just glue 2 coke bottle lids together spray them black and stick them on the back of the acog. it wont be 100% accurate but very similar

Yeah you could use that, but its no way as beefy as the 6x I dont think, personally I'd go for the standard scope on a SR25k would be pretty damn close to one of the above pics.

Originally, the L129 it's a Lewis Machine & Tool Modular Weapon System, when we adopted it we just changed a few small things accessory wise, 762 PMAGs, tan furniture etc.

As mentioned in the other thread, the main issue with constructing an accurate airsoft replica is that the monolithic upper receiver (similar to the one seen on the G&P LMT MRP) just doesn't exist yet in airsoft.

There's a few guys out there who've used SR-25Ks and gotten pretty close, but close is all we can manage for now. Obviously that good enough and fine for most people, just saying.

That was my ld company on the programme last night and Corporal Vice who had a sharpshooter rifle is a Legend, tells it how it is.

i personally didn't know that they were using the scopes other thanthe 6x ACOG, good to see them spraying the rifles too, most of the time they sniper tape them up first then spray but it looked like they put them on the rifles themselves

think i may have to partake in one of theses myself
