What kind of battery.
16 February, 2009, 20:02
Dudes,
I bought a AGM m4 stubby a few weeks back which I'm really happy with, however, I'm after a longer life battery. The stubby has a crane style stock so I'm after a 9.6v high mah that will fit correctly. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Smally.

Re: What kind of battery.
1500 8.4 is a smaller option, will fit in most smaller guns. A 9.6V is probably not a good choice because it will wear down the internals much quicker.

I can't say, forum rules. But any airsoft website sell batteries. Just dont buy cheap chinease ones. Look for a Red battery, there british made, top notch.

Re: What kind of battery.
9.6V battery is fine. You'll need the correct arrangement for a crane stock and to make sure you get one with the appropriate connectors. Either deans or tamiyas depending on what is fitted.

So you think 9.6v will be okay? What difference will DEANS or TAMIYAS connectors make?
Cheers,
Smally.

Deans make the gun fire a lot faster.

Re: What kind of battery.
Its not hugely significant. Just make sure the battery has the same connector as the gun wires have.
Or, if you fancy deans (better connector, lower resistance, lower profile) and your rifle doesn't have them, do a little bit of extra work. 10 minutes with a soldering iron if it goes right.

Its a different kind of battery. Lithium cells are 3.7V so batteries come in 3.7, 7.4 and 11.1. Different battery technology so different performance and different problems (like chargers).
9.6V NiMH will be fine for your application.

Re: What kind of battery.
Im not crazy! Just one or two screws loose.
9.6v will be fine, but for pure gear box shreading, bb inflicted pain, li-po is the way forward.
