Sidearm?
12 February, 2012, 12:11
After getting totally hacked off with leaky mags on my TM M92 Biohazzard I've decided I must treet myself to a new sidearm! But what? & why?

Re: Sidearm?
well you clearly want a sidearm that will work when required..
your tm 92 is an old design now, fixed hop and not so great performance
i'd recommend any of tm's newer gbb designs 1911, meu, hi-cappas, fn 57, glock, xdm etc
ps i use a tm detonics with tercel 1911 mags that dont leak, last sunday i shot about 10-15 ppl with it in one game defending a doorway (choke point), any reliable gbb would have done just as well

Re: Sidearm?
No one else can tell you what YOU like the look of so best bet is to have a look around and narrow it down somewhat.

Re: Sidearm?
I’m quite a fan of glocks, I used to own a KSC G17 a few years back but sold it, big mistake!
After handling various other GBB pistols I personally found the glock to be a very reliable pistol that always ‘got the job done’.

Re: Sidearm?
My KWA USP compact is my new favourite gun, it hasn't let me down yet (I forgot to release the BB catch after loading once, which caused problems, but that's my fault...) I thoroughly recommend their new ones.

Re: Sidearm?
Am I the only person who is going to suggest saving yourself some money and just fixing the leaky mags? It's really not hard, just get yourself a valve key and some silicone oil and you're well away!!
If you must get a new pistol I would suggest either a TM Glock 17 or TM PX4 Custom - I own both and they perform amazingly. I've owned many variations of pistol from many makes and these are the two that I refuse to get rid of. They just perform amazingly!

Re: Sidearm?
The latest KJWs are worth a look too as many of them come with both a gas and a CO2 mag, so one for the summer and one for the winter. Look around the HK retailers and you'll find the trademarked versions for about the same price imported as the non-traded ones in the UK.
EDIT: But, yes, I'd agree with the above. Have a go at fixing (or replacing) the mag you've got first.

Re: Sidearm?
Very individual choice to make. I chose a TM PX-4 due to it being the latest TM internal goodness. Even more impressed now. It is a 'keeper'

Re: Sidearm?
TM 1911 - Amazing pistol - Just stick in a Nineball Hop & 6.01 TB and your golden! Run mine off .28gs
TM PX4 - Another amazing pistol same as above but better gas efficiency id also suggest LPE Mag shimms for a little more power
Both have amazingly good range and power about 320 - 340 with the above upgrades.

Re: Sidearm?
LPE mag shimms you say? I shall look into that, done the 6.01 TB, keep forgetting to get the nineball sorted.
Thanks for that.

Re: Sidearm?
The KWA Mk.23 SOCOM is supposed to be very good and has quite a low price tag.
