M4 Mags? Are they brand specific?

Hi, I`m new to airsoft and wondered if magazines, M4 specifically, are brand specific. i.e do TM mags only fit TM M4's? or will TM mags fit JG/G&P/Kings M4's?

Advice urgently required!

Most M4 mags will fit most M4 but you do get the odd one that wont fit.
