noob alert!

Hey guys
Totally new to the hobby so planning on getting 3 games in over the next couple of months. I'd appreciate any pointers/advice you guys could offer me on starting up in the hobby.

if you go on a warm/hot day(yeah right, with this weather!), make sure you have water with you no matter what!
and
don't go cheap on eye protection!

one other thing, it's probably best to start off the sport with your first gun being a variant of an armalite. easily mod able, lots of spare parts available.

Take your time choosing your first gun. I did the typical when I started at the beginning of last year and bought a sniper rifle. Actually totally hated sniping. Didn' even much like the M4 I got after that, these days I play exclusively with a cheap tri-shot shotgun, even in woodland, and I love it. Could have saved myself a lot of money if I'd waited til I really knew what would suit me.
