Hello from Peterborough ish

Hi everyone, I'm from Peterborough-ish, primarily play at Urban Assault and FFZ these days. I've been playing since about 2006, and used to be a member of the old UKAN forums back in the day. I am looking to get to more events this year and will be travelling further afield to games, as previously I only played very rarely due to not having many local mates to do it with. Now with a good few friends involved, going further afield is possible.

I was told this forum is a good friendly place, with a good classifieds, and a very knowledgeable user base, so I hope I can be a good part of it and give back as much as I get.

Generally. Beware of the extreme levels of sarcasm, bitchiness, trolling (less now that Purcys been banned again, long story) and the iron fisted moderation.

Debatable, whilst its probably one of the more active classifieds its got its fair share of p!ss takers with regards to the valuing of second hand items and recently there was some issues with scammers. Its a case of buyer beware.

Aye this is true but be prepared for almost every question to be answered with 'TM am bestest'.

so I hope I can be a good part of it and give back as much as I get.

I haven't been since about 07/08 when it was still at Fineshade wood, how are the new sites, I see they have 2 now?

I miss Fineshade. I've only been to the site that's in the old quarry (Not Grafton... so the other one), it was nothing special. I enjoyed the days airsoft but I think that was mostly due to being back with the guys so for me Close action is more social than gaming and if I'm honest I prefer cqb/fibua to woodland sites.

I used to enjoy Fineshade nearly as much as the urban stuff I'm into now, it had a good mix of terrain. Do you know any decent urban sites round this part of the country?

Last year I did a lot of game days @ F&O The Embassy in Leicester. I've only had 2 bad days there, although I do prefer the days when its not fully packed out.

Only tip.... Don't put links to any airsoft selling establishment as the iron fists will give you some points.

I never really thought the UKAN was particularly bad for tough moderation, So you guys must be easy going!

I can understand not letting people discuss other retailers on here, since they host the forums and all. I imagine getting a big sodomising for that.

Also don't answer anyone's post on the "lost Souls" section unless you are actually searching someone yourself or have 100% iron clad info to help them....
